Philly Community Wireless Wi-Fi Coverage Map

This map focuses on showing the overall network architecture. Icons on the map show PhillyWisper high sites, Wi-Fi access points, routers, point-to-point equipment, and mesh nodes. Other features show connections between devices, a timeline to see our network’s growth over the years, and a heatmap.

Areas covered by the heatmap should have PCW signal available for a free Wi-Fi connection, but please keep in mind that it may not be accurate at street-level. If you cannot access the Wi-Fi network at a location covered by the heatmap here, you may need to walk around a street corner. Try to find the closest access point visible to ensure a good connection.

Our Headquarters

Philly Community Wireless’s headquarters is located at the Norris Square Neighborhood Project (NSNP), at 2141 N Howard St. We are on the east side of Norris Square Park.

Why Norris Square?

We started PCW in Norris Square for several reasons: technical feasibility, a need for digital access, and a vibrant community full of incredible community organizations.

Getting Here

Public Transit

Our headquarters at NSNP is a quick walk from either the York-Dauphin or Berks Market-Frankford Line SEPTA stops.

Driving

Street parking is available around Norris Square Park; availabiliy is limited.

Cycling

There is an Indego stop a ~5 minute walk away at 2nd and Norris next to The Ground Coffee.
